CST3C_D is a sub-course of CST3C - Intro to Programming and Design.
The first half of this course will focus on digital prototyping in a virtual environment. Digital prototyping gives designers the ability to virtually explore a complete product before it is built physically. By using a digital prototype, designers can visualize and simulate real-world performance of the design with less reliance on costly physical prototypes, reducing design and production costs.
The second half of the class goes into basic programming concepts such as algorithm development and flowcharting, Object Oriented Programming concepts in the virtual reality of Alice, and Lego Mindstorm robotic programming.
