AIS EagleNET - Virtual Learning Community: Courses

This is a workshop area for teachers at AIS to practice their course development using Moodle.

This is an online learning environment to facilitate professional development, including pedagogy and practice.

A learning portfolio approach, which will focus on:

1. What constitutes leadership in an organization?
2. Leadership attributes, as in leadership styles.
3. An articulation of short- and long-term leadership goals.
4. An action-plan for change in achieving leadership goals.

This course seeks to be an introduction to academic dissertations. It aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to design research projects for their journalism post graduate studies. Students will learn to develop a plan of action to create their dissertation. The assignments relate to producing a research proposal, which allows commencement of a research program.

This unit is a self-paced professional development course based on nine modules. It will be supplemented with face-to-face session to be negotiated with the course tutor and includes articles, forum discussions, chat sessions, video tutorials, and a reflective journal for your use. A threaded bulletin board is used where you can raise issues with other participants and read the comments of your tutor.

This short-course provides teachers with
strategies, tools, and resources for innovative use of a PC in the
classroom.

Furthermore, it is intended to provide a collaborative environment for knowledge and idea exchange.

This is a short course intended for teachers wishing to learn strategies for the integration of MS PowerPoint into their classrooms.
